Resolution to direct the Interstate and Foreign Commerce Committee of the House of Representatives to conduct an investigation of the causes and conditions of the current petroleum shortage.

Directs the Interstate and Foreign Commerce Committee of the House of Representatives to conduct a study of the petroleum shortage which shall include but not be limited to: (1) the existing supply of petroleum and petroleum products; (2) present and potential petroleum reserves; (3) the costs and investment necessary to extract new petroleum supplies; (4) the existing price structure for petroleum products; (5) foreign petroleum sources and their effect on new supplies and prices; (6) patterns of commerce affecting the petroleum supply; and (7) causes of the petroleum shortage.

Requires the committee to report its findings no later than six months after the enactment of this resolution.
