Directs the Interstate and Foreign Commerce Committee of the House of Representatives to conduct a study of the petroleum shortage which shall include but not be limited to: (1) the existing supply of petroleum and petroleum products; (2) present and potential petroleum reserves; (3) the costs and investment necessary to extract new petroleum supplies; (4) the existing price structure for petroleum products; (5) foreign petroleum sources and their effect on new supplies and prices; (6) patterns of commerce affecting the petroleum supply; and (7) causes of the petroleum shortage.
Requires the committee to report its findings no later than six months after the enactment of this resolution.
