Resolution providing for consideration of H.R. 6458. A bill to amend the Public Health Service Act to authorize assistance for planning, development and initial operation, research, and training projects for systems for the effective provision of health care services under emergency conditions.

Provides that upon the adoption of this resolution it shall be in order to move that the House resolve itself into the committee of the whole House on the State of the Union for the consideration of the bill (H. R. 6458) to amend the Public Health Service Act to authorize assistance for planning, development, and initial operation, research, and training projects for systems for the effective provision of health care services under emergency conditions. States that after general debate, which shall be confined to the bill and shall continue not to exceed one hour, to be equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on Interstate and Foreign Commerce, the bill shall be read for amendment under the five-minute rule. Requires that it shall be in order to consider without intervention of any point of order the text of the bill H. R. 8220 if offered as an amendment to the bill H. R. 6458. Provides that, at the conclusion of the consideration of H. R. 6458 for amendment, the Committee shall rise and report the bill to the House with such amendments as may have been adopted, and the previous question shall be considered as ordered on the bill and amendments thereto to final passage without intervening motion except one motion to recommit. States that, after the passage of H. R. 6458, it shall be in order in the House to take from the Speaker's table the bill S. 504 and to move to strike out all after the enacting clause of the said Senate bill and insert in lieu thereof the provisions contained in H. R. 6458 as passed by the House.
