Creates a special committee of seven Members of the House of Representatives, to be appointed by the Speaker, to conduct a full and complete investigation and study into the legal political, and diplomatic status of lands which were subject to grants from the King of Spain and from the Government of Mexico prior to the acquisition of the American Southwest as a result of the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo.
Requires the committee to report to the House within one year the results of its investigation and study, together with such recommendations as it deems advisable.
