A resolution for organization, jurisdiction, powers, and duties of the permanent Select Committee on Small Business to conduct studies and investigations of the problems of small business.

States that effective January 3, 1973, the permanent Select Committee on Small Business shall be composed of nineteen Members of the House of Representatives to be appointed by the Speaker, one of whom he shall designate as chairman.

Makes it the duty of the committee to conduct studies of the problems of small business, with particular reference to: (1) the factors which have impeded or may impede the normal operations, growth, and development of small business; (2) the administration and adequacy of Federal laws relating specifically to small business; and (3) the problems of small business enterprises generally.

Provides that the committee shall not have legislative jurisdiction nor have bills or resolutions referred to it, but shall be authorized to make studies, investigations, reports, and recommendations.

Authorizes the committee to hold hearings, issue subpenas, and administer oaths to witnesses.
