A bill to provide for the study of the alternative uses including the recreational, conservation, and preservation uses, of the New River.

Provides for a study of the alternative uses, including the recreational, conservation, and preservation uses, of the New River from the headwaters of its south and north forks to the town of Fries Virginia.

Prohibits the construction of any dam or reservoir on or directly affecting the New River from such headwaters to Fries, Virginia until two years after a report of such study is submitted to the Congress.
