A bill to amend the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, to establish a Federal Rescue Resource Service.

Directs the Secretary of Labor to establish and maintain in the Department of Labor a Federal Rescue Resource Service. Provides that it shall be the duty of the Service, in connection with rescue operations arising out of accidents in places of employment to which the Occupational Safety and Health Act applies, to perform specified functions, including: (1) maintain on a continuing basis detailed information as to the location of items of equipment which might be useful or necessary in effecting rescues and which might not be readily or rapidly procurable by local authorities, (2) maintain on a continuing basis names, addresses, and qualifications of individuals to assist in rescue operation, and (3) carry on a continuing program to keep local authorities who might be responsible for rescue operations informed of the information with respect to the location of specialized equipment and specially qualified personnel to assist in rescue operations.

Directs the Secretary to maintain an office of the Service in each regional office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Provides that the Secretary shall establish and maintain, as a part of the Service, a Federal Rescue Corps which shall be kept in a state of readiness for instant deployment to the scene of any accident which the Secretary determines that the services of the Corps might contribute to the saving of lives or the reduction in injuries.
