A bill to provide for a national educational campaign to combat the lack of consciousness of the public as to the danger of improper uses of motor vehicles on the highways and to impose an additional tax of one-tenth of a cent per gallon on gasoline and other motor fuels to pay for the costs of such campaign.
Automobile Driver Education Act - Authorizes the Secretary of Transportation to carry on a national educational campaign designed to educate drivers, pedestrians, and others with respect to the dangers incurred when driving on or crossing highways.
Imposes an additional tax of one-tenth of a cent per gallon on gasoline and other motor fuels, to be paid into the Highway Trust Fund, to pay for the costs incurred in carrying out the purposes of this Act.
