Authorizes the District of Columbia to enter into a compact with any State in cooperative efforts and mutual assistance in the prevention of crime and for the enforcement of their respective criminal laws and policies.
Permits under such compact any person convicted of an offense within such State and placed on probation or released on parole to reside in any other State which is party to this compact while such person is on probation or parole. Outlines the rights and duties of the receiving and sending parties under such compact.
Authorizes the Governor of each State to designate an officer who shall act jointly with other such officers to promulgate rules and regulations necessary to effectively carry out the terms of such compact.
