Authorizes the Commissioner of Education to provide financial assistance to local educational agencies for the education of children of migrant agricultural employees. Declares that the amount to which a local educational agency is entitled is equal to four times the local contribution rate times the full-time equivalent of the estimated number of migratory children.
Directs that payments be made only upon application by the local agency, submitted through the State educational agency and approved by the Commissioner of Education.
Authorizes appropriations for each fiscal year of such sums necessary to carry out the provisions of the Act.
