A bill to amend section 5(l)(1) of the Railroad Retirement Act of 1937 to simplify administration of the Act; and to amend section 226(e) of the Social Security Act to extend kidney disease medicare coverage to railroad employees, their spouses, and their dependent children, and for other purposes.
Makes the eligibility conditions for children's benefits under the Railroad Retirement Act conform with eligibility conditions for such benefits under the Social Security Act.
Extends kidney disease medicare coverage to railroad employees, their spouses, and their dependent children on the same basis as such coverage is now provided for persons insured under the Social Security Act.
