Prohibits persons attempting to collect their own debts or aiding in the collection of private debts from misusing names, initials, emblems, or insignias in order to convey the false impression that any agency of the Federal Government is involved in such collection. Provides a penalty of a fine not to exceed $1,000 or imprisonment for not more than one year or both for violations of this Act.
