A bill to make it a Federal crime to murder or assault a fireman or law enforcement officer engaged in the performance of official duties by any person traveling in interstate commerce or using any facility of interstate commerce for such purposes.

Makes it a Federal crime to murder or assault a fireman or law enforcement officer engaged in the performance of official duties by any person traveling in interstate commerce or using any facility of interstate commerce for such purpose. Provides for a penalty of not more than $10,000, or imprisonment of not more than ten years, or both, for whoever violates this Act. (Adds 18 U.S.C. 1116).
