Family Visitation Act - Provides for between twelve and thirty days of family and social visitation furlough for a Federal prisoner during each year of confinement if his record shows that he has not engaged in serious misconduct for which punishment has been imposed, and if he is deemed to be of a trustworthy nature.
Provides that the willful failure of a prisoner to return within the time prescribed to the institution from which he was furloughed shall be deemed an escape from the custody of the Attorney General, and subjects such person to criminal penalties. (Adds 18 U.S.C. 4167)
