A bill to suspend the importation of liquified natural gas and the construction of new storage facilities for such gas until such time as a thorough evaluation of the hazards associated with the marine transportation and the delivery and storage of such gas is made and other actions are taken to prevent or minimize such hazards.

Suspends the importation of liquified natural gas and the construction of new storage facilities for such gas until such time as Commandant of the Coast Guard conducts a thorough evaluation of the hazards associated with the marine transportation and the delivery and storage of such gas, and prescribes necessary safety standards.
