A bill to amend title 28 of the United States Code to provide for recovery of costs by criminal defendants in certain cases.

Provides that whenever a prosecution in a U.S. district court for any offense results in a finding that the accused is not guilty, or is dismissed with prejudice, the court shall order that the United States pay the costs. (Adds 28 U.S.C. 1918(c))
