Provides, under the Interstate Commerce Act, that rail passenger cars and locomotives or similar vehicles designed to receive, retain, and treat or discharge human body wastes shall be required to have installed thereon sanitation devices to prevent the discharge of inadequately treated wastes upon the land and navigable waterways of the United States.
Provides for inspection of such devices by the Interstate Commerce Commission. Provides a penalty of $500 per day for failure to comply with any regulation or order designed to carry out the provisions of this Act. (Amends 49 U.S.C. 26)
