Equal Credit Opportunity Act - Prohibits discrimination by any federally insured bank, savings and loan association, or credit union against any individual on the basis of sex or marital status in credit transactions and in connection with applications for credit. Provides civil and criminal penalties for persons violating this Act.
Requires creditors subject to the provisions of this Act to annually prepare and file a report showing the extent of compliance with the provisions of this Act.
