Authorizes to be appropriated, under the Public Works and Economic Development Act, an additional sum, not to exceed $250,000,000 per fiscal year for fiscal years 1975 and 1976, for areas designated by the Secretary of Commerce as redevelopment areas.
Expands the purposes for which the Secretary may make grants to eligible recipients to include short-term work projects to improve, beautify, or enhance the environment.
Increases to $250,000,000 the sum authorized to be appropriated for each of the fiscal years 1975 and 1976 to provide special programs to meet the needs arising from threatened or severe unemployment and economic dislocation under such Act.
