A bill to amend title II of the Social Security Act to permit the payment of benefits to a married couple on their combined earnings record where that method of computation produces a higher combined effort.

Provides, under title II of the Social Security Act (Old Age, Survivors', and Disability Insurance), that the payment of benefits to a married couple shall be made on the basis of their combined earnings record where that method of computation products a higher combined benefit. (Amends 42 U.S.C. 402)
