Establishes a Commission on Economic and Natural Resources Planning in the executive branch of the Federal Government, in order that the Nation may be forewarned of possible and probable shortages and distortions in natural resources and economic programs; to make long-range plans for the orderly development, conservation, and utilization of our existing and projected natural resources; to formulate recommendations for meeting projected shortages in these resources; and project the state of the economy in relation to existing and projected natural resources.
Transfers to the Commission from the Department of Agriculture, the Department of the Interior, the Department of Commerce, and each other instrumentality in the executive branch all functions and duties of long-range planning of our natural resources.
Authorizes appropriations of such sums as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act.
