Provides, under the Atomic Weapons Rewards Act of 1955, for the rewarding by payment of up to $500,000 to any person who furnishes original information to the United States leading to the finding or other acquisition by the United States of special nuclear material or an atomic weapon manufactured contrary to the laws of the United States.
Provides for such rewarding with respect to such information furnished relating to a conspiracy to introduce into the United States or to manufacture or acquire special nuclear material or an atomic weapon contrary to the laws of the United States.
Provides for such rewarding for such information relating to the export or attempted export, or a conspiracy to export, special nuclear material or an atomic weapon from the United States contrary to the laws of the United States.
Places the authority to determine such rewards under such Act with the Attorney General (presently with an Awards Board made up of the Secretary of the Treasury, the Secretary of Defense, the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and the Attorney General.)
Places additional requirements upon authorized users of nuclear materials to safeguard such materials.
