A bill to amend Section 203 of the Social Security Act to provide that an individual who devotes 45 hours or less a month to his or her trade or business shall not be considered to have rendered substantial services in self-employment for purposes of the retirement test.

Provides under title II (Old-Age, Survivors', and Disability Insurance) of the Social Security Act that an individual who devotes forty-five hours or less a month to his or her trade or business shall not be considered to have rendered substantial services in self employment for purposes of the retirement test.
