A bill to extend the act of October 15, 1971, providing for the creation of a limited copyright in sound recordings.

Removes the expiration date of January 1, 1975, for limited copyrights in sound recordings. Increases criminal penalties for piracy and counterfeiting of sound recordings and for the knowing and fraudulent transportation, sale, or receipt of phonograph records bearing forged or counterfeit labels.
