A bill to create a Law Revision Commission for the District of Columbia, and to establish a municipal code for the District of Columbia.
District of Columbia Law Revision Commission Act - Establishes in the District of Columbia a District of Columbia Law Revision Commission.
Prescribes the method of appointing members and requires at least 8 members to be District of Columbia residents.
Sets forth the compensation for such members.
Directs the Commission to examine and propose revisions to the common law and statutes of the District of Columbia, giving special consideration to the criminal law.
Directs the Commission to prepare and recommend uniform rules of practice for judicial and administrative proceedings.
Terminates the Commission upon the filing of the Commission's annual report at the end of the fourth full calendar year after funds are first appropriated to the Commission unless extended by Congress.
Authorizes necessary appropriations to carry out this Act.
