A bill to amend the District of Columbia Police and Fireman's Salary Act of 1958 to increase salaries, and for other purposes.

States that effective on the first day of the first pay period beginning on or after January 1, 1974, the annual rate of basic compensation of the officers and members in active service on the effective date of the District of Columbia Police and Firemen's Salary Act Amendments of 1973 shall be increased by 13 percent and for each succeeding calendar year the percentage increase shalll not be less than the percentage change, if any, of the annual Consumer Price Index as issued by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for the District of Columbia standard metropolitan statistical area.
