A bill to provide for the development of a national health policy.
National Health Policy Act - Establishes in the Executive office of the President a Council on Health Policy. Sets forth the functions of the Council, including the following: (1) assessment of the status of the Nation's health; (2) assessment of existing and proposed Federal and other health programs; (3) assessment of the need for health resources and services; (4) issuing guidelines respecting the appropriate supply, distribution and organization of health resources and services; and (5) conduct of studies and analyses concerning recommendations for a national health policy.
Sets forth priorities in the formulation of a national health policy and in the development and operation of Federal, State, and area health planning, development, and regulatory programs.
