A bill to encourage increased use of public transit systems by amending the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 to allow a credit against individual income taxes for funds expended by a taxpayer for payment of public transit fares from his or her residence to his or her place of employment and from his or her place of employment to his or her residence.
Public Transit Commuter's Tax Credit Act - Allows an income tax credit equal to the total of all amounts paid by the taxpayer during the taxable year for public transit transportation to and from work.
