Designates the Miners' Hospital in Raton, New Mexico, as a Public Health Service hospital, to be known as the "Miners' Rehabilitation and Medical Hospital," and to be controlled, managed, and operated by the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare.
Provides that any person who is or has been engaged in the removal of ores, precious stones, or other materials from pits or excavations, and whose disease, injury, or disability was incurred while so engaged or is related thereto, shall be entitled to receive care and hospitalization on a priority basis without charge at the Miners' Hospital.
Authorizes to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to enable the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare to carry out the provisions of this Act.
