Establishes the President's Award for Outstanding Public Safety Service and the Secretary's Award for Distinguished Public Safety Service for the recognition of outstanding and distinguished service by the public safety office. Provides that the President's Award for Outstanding Public Safety Service shall be presented by the President to public safety officers for: (1) extraordinary valor in the line of duty, or (2) outstanding contribution to the field of public safety
States that recipients of the award shall be selected by the President with the advise and assistance of the Secretary of Commerce and the Attorney General. Provides that the Secretary's Award for Distinguished Public Safety Service shall be presented by the Secretary or by the Attorney General to public safety officers for distinguished service in the field of public safety.
