Authorizes the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare, under the Lead-Based Paint Poisoning Prevention Act, to make grants to State agencies for the purpose of establishing centralized laboratory facilities for analyzing biological and environmental lead specimens obtained from local lead-based paint poisoning detection programs. (Amends 42 U.S.C. 4801)
Authorizes appropriations: (1) of $20,000,000 for each fiscal year after fiscal year 1972, for grants for detection and treatment of lead-based paint poisoning under the Act; (2) of $25,000,000 for each fiscal year after fiscal year 1972, for grants for elimination of lead-based paint poisoning, under the Act; and (3) of $5,000,000 for each fiscal year after fiscal year 1972, for the Federal demonstration and research program under the Act. (Amends 42 U.S.C. 4843)
