Provides, under the Horse Protection Act, that any person who forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, or interferes with any person while engaged in or on account of the performance of his official duties under such Act shall be fined not more than $5,000, or imprisoned not more than three years, or both. Provides that whoever, in the commission of such acts, uses a deadly or dangerous weapon shall be fined not more than $10,000, or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.
States that whoever kills any person while engaged in or on account of the performance of his official duties under the Act shall be punishable in accordance with the penalties imposed for the killing of officers of the United States. (Amends 15 U.S.C. 1825)
Removes the citing of $100,000 on the annual authorized appropriations under the Horse Protection Act. (Amends 15 U.S.C. 1831)
