Joshua Tree National Park Expansion Act of 2024
This bill expands the boundary of Joshua Tree National Park by adding approximately 20,149 acres of specified land, and transfers administrative jurisdiction over such land from the Bureau of Land Management to the National Park Service.
The Department of the Interior may acquire land and land interests within the park boundary by donation, purchase from a willing seller, exchange, or transfer. However, land within the park boundary that is owned by the State of California or a political subdivision thereof may be acquired only by donation or exchange.
