To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to require payroll tax withholding on independent contractors of certain large businesses.
Gig Is Up Act
This bill requires businesses that have at least $100 million in gross receipts in a calendar year and with whom at least $10,000 individuals contract to provide services as independent contractors to pay both the employer and employee payroll tax contributions to Social Security and Medicare.
