To direct the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a study to assess the feasibility and financial effects of expanding coverage under the Medicare program to items and services furnished in the Philippines.
Philippine Medicare Portability Study Act
This bill requires the Government Accountability Office to report on the feasibility and financial effects of expanding Medicare coverage to include items and services that are provided in the Philippines.
The report must include the estimated cost savings to Medicare from 2025 through 2034, as well as a description of any necessary legislative and administrative changes that would be required to expand coverage.
