To amend title 31, United States Code, to provide for a joint meeting of the Congress to receive a presentation from the Comptroller General of the United States regarding the audited financial statement of the executive branch, and for other purposes.
Fiscal State of the Nation Act
This bill requires the House of Representatives and the Senate to conduct an annual joint meeting to receive a presentation from the Comptroller General regarding (1) the Government Accountability Office's audit of the financial statement of the executive branch, and (2) the financial position and condition of the federal government. The bill also requires concurrent resolutions on the budget to include a statement of findings informed by the presentation.
