To direct the Secretary of Commerce to submit to Congress a report on the protection of consumer information in the possession of United States companies operating in Hong Kong and requests issued by the Government of Hong Kong to such companies for consumer information, content takedowns, or law enforcement assistance.
Hong Kong Business Integrity and Transparency Act
This bill requires the Department of Commerce to submit periodic reports to Congress on (1) the protection of consumer information in the possession of U.S. firms operating in Hong Kong, and (2) requests by the government of Hong Kong to U.S. companies operating in Hong Kong for content takedowns or law enforcement assistance.
