To amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to make certain activities for the removal of plastic waste and post-consumer materials from wastewater eligible for assistance under the State water pollution control revolving funds, and for other purposes.
Reducing Plastics in Wastewater Act
This bill permits the use of the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to construct or improve municipal water treatment facilities to reduce and remove plastic waste, microplastics, and other post-consumer materials from wastewater. That fund provides low-cost financing to communities for a wide range of water quality infrastructure projects.
