To require the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Department of Energy, and the Electric Reliability Organization to jointly submit to Congress the results of a study on the need for, and feasibility of, establishing or modifying a reliability standard to ensure the reliable operation of thermoelectric power plants during droughts, and for other purposes.
Grid Resilience Act
This bill requires the Department of Energy, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and the Electric Reliability Organization to jointly study the feasibility of establishing or modifying a reliability standard (i.e., a requirement to provide for reliable operation of the electric grid) for thermoelectric power plants during droughts.
