To amend the National Security Act of 1947 to clarify the authority of the intelligence community to conduct domestic intelligence activities.
Intelligence Community Authorities Clarification Act
This bill prohibits the elements of the intelligence community from conducting any intelligence-related activities that do not have a nexus to foreign intelligence or counterintelligence. The President may waive this prohibition for a period of up to one year if the President provides to Congress a written declaration that the waiver is important to U.S. national security interests.
