To amend title 38, United States Code, to provide for the equitable restoration of eligibility for provision of Department of Veterans Affairs memorial headstones and markers for eligible spouses and dependent children of veterans whose remains are unavailable.

This bill expands eligibility for memorial headstones and markers provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs to commemorate individuals whose remains are unavailable. Specifically, the bill removes a date limitation to make eligible for a headstone or marker spouses of veterans or certain servicemembers, surviving spouses of veterans, and eligible dependent children of veterans or certain servicemembers, regardless of the date the individual died.
