To provide that the public health emergency declared with respect to COVID-19 shall terminate on the date on which the Secretary of Health and Human Services approves, or authorizes emergency use of, a drug intended to treat COVID-19.
Pandemic Cessation Act
This bill automatically terminates the COVID-19 public health emergency declared on January 31, 2020, when the Food and Drug Administration approves a new drug (or authorizes the emergency use of a drug) to treat COVID-19.
