To provide law enforcement agencies investigating the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol with the authority to require a company to disclose the beneficial owners of the company, and for other purposes.
Insurrection Financing Transparency Act of 2021
This bill authorizes a law enforcement agency to require a reporting company (i.e., a corporation, limited liability company, or similar entity, subject to exceptions) to provide information about its beneficial owners if such information is required for an investigation into the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
It imposes penalties for failing to report such information.
