To amend section 30113 of title 49, United States Code, to clarify the granting of an alternate vehicle endorsement, and for other purposes.
Safe Alternative Vehicle Endorsement Act or the SAVE Act
This bill revises the statutory terminology for exemptions to certain motor vehicle safety standards that may be granted by the Department of Transportation; it replaces the references to exemptions with alternate vehicle endorsements.
