A bill to appropriately limit the impact of the presence of large Federal installations in the delineation of core based statistical areas.
Statistical Area Fairness Act of 2019
This bill prohibits the Office of Management and Budget from including a county with a large federal installation in a core-based statistical area on the basis of employment in that county of residents of the central county or counties of the core-based statistical area. Core-based statistical areas are delineated based on census data and include metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas.
