Jones Act Repeal Act
This bill repeals coastwise laws, commonly known as the Jones Act, that govern domestic transportation of merchandise or passengers by vessels. The Jones Act requires that vessels transporting merchandise or passengers between Puerto Rico and other U.S. ports be built in the United States, be at least 75% owned by U.S. citizens, and be mostly crewed by U.S. citizens.

A BILL
To amend title 46, United States Code, to repeal provisions relating to
transportation by water that are popularly known as the Jones Act, and
for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Jones Act Repeal Act''.
SEC. 2. REPEAL OF PROVISIONS POPULARLY KNOWN AS THE JONES ACT.
Title 46, United States Code, is amended by repealing the following
provisions:
(1) Chapter 551, and the item relating to that chapter in
the analysis at the beginning of part D of subtitle V of that
title.
(2) Section 12102, and the item relating to that section in
the analysis at the beginning of chapter 121 of that title.
