COVID-19 REAL ID Relief Act of 2020
This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security to grant states an extension until October 1, 2021, of the deadline by which they are required to meet requirements under the Real ID Act of 2005 due to the national emergency declared by the President as a result of COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019). (Currently, travelers must obtain REAL ID-compliant driver's licenses by October 1, 2020, in order to board domestic flights).
