To amend the Federal Work-Study program to permit institutions of higher education to use their Federal work-study allocations for full-time, off-campus cooperative education and work-based learning.
Classroom to Careers Act of 2019
This bill permits institutions of higher education to enter into private-sector employment agreements with the Department of Education in order to receive certain federal work-study grants for full-time employment of students, with restrictions. Currently, such agreements are limited to part-time employment.
