To amend the Lacey Act Amendments of 1981 to prohibit importation, exportation, transportation, sale, receipt, acquisition, and purchase in interstate or foreign commerce, or in a manner substantially affecting interstate or foreign commerce, of any live animal of any prohibited wildlife species.
Captive Primate Safety Act
This bill revises requirements governing the trade of wildlife species. Among other things, the bill adds nonhuman primate species to the list of wildlife species that may not be imported, exported, transported, sold, received, acquired, or purchased in interstate or foreign commerce.
In addition, the bill revises requirements concerning the persons exempted from the prohibition.
