A bill to amend the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 to advance carbon utilization technologies, and for other purposes.
Carbon Utilization Act of 2018
This bill modifies several Department of Agriculture (USDA) programs to authorize additional grants, loans, and loan guarantees for carbon utilization technologies, such as carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration; and biogas systems. The bill also requires USDA to establish: (1) a carbon utilization education program, and (2) an interagency biogas opportunities task force.
