To impose sanctions with respect to Iranian financial institutions and the development and use of Iranian digital currency, and for other purposes.
Blocking Iran Illicit Finance Act
This bill expands sanctions against Iranian financial institutions that engage in various prohibited activities. It also directs the President to impose sanctions against (1) persons that provide financial messaging services to such institutions, and (2) persons that conduct significant transactions in any Iranian digital currency.
